Amit started his career in 1994, primarily working as a retail broker/investment advisor at JB Hanauer and Company. In 2006, he joined Bank of the West in their Fixed Income division.

He became the Head of Fixed Income from 2009, where he managed the sales and trading teams covering 23 states, while also managing 5 offices for BNP Securities Corp in the US. He currently heads the Wholesale Liquidity and Fixed Income Team at Umpqua Bank, utilizing his vast experience in both the investment and banking sectors.

Amit holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 53, 63, and 65 licenses. He is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he majored in Economics and Accounting.
